Launched 15 July 2013
Following on from a catastrophic fire, the former Langland Court had been demolished. The current site owners had presented a scheme to the Local Authority, whereby the site would be redeveloped to accommodate high quality residential properties, commensurate with the area.
As part of this development, Spectrum Geo Services were commissioned to undertake a ground investigation by trial pitting and laboratory testing. The site was investigated, and samples tested for a wide range of soil contaminants.
Advice was provided with regards the design of a BRE “Cover System”, allowing the residential garden areas to be used without risk of upwards capillary migration of contaminants, whilst minimizing earthworks and disposal costs.
