Spectrum Geo Services was formed by Rob Griffiths, BSc(Hons), MSc, FGS, CGeol, a Geotechnical Advisor, with geotechnical engineering and geo-environmental expertise, spanning over 4 decades.

Based within the M4 corridor between Cardiff and Swansea, we have great communications throughout the UK, and have undertaken projects both in the UK and overseas.

We have a wide range of experience within both Consultancy and Contracting, and thus have depth of knowledge of the interface between both, and promote a boundry-less approach.

Having managed multidisciplinary teams of professionals, we understand the talents and needs required to deliver complex engineering schemes.

We have, and will continue to provide, excellent value for money to our clients, whilst ensuring the highest standards at all times.

Our People

Rob Griffiths, Business Owner

Rob Griffiths is a Chartered Geologist, committee member of the ICE Ground Engineering Group of South Wales, and Vice Chair of the Wales ACE.

Rob has worked in the sector since 1985, having graduated from Portsmouth Polytechnic with an Honours Degree in Engineering Geology and Geotechnics, which was furthered with a Masters in Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Wales, Cardiff.

He has worked both for contractors, and consultants, having recently been Technical and Regional Director for companies such as Hyder, Fairhurst and Jacobs. He has provided lecture courses to BSc and MEng level at the University of Wales.

Rob has delivered and managed multidisciplinary teams on a wide variety of geotechnical, geological, environmental and land contamination schemes, across the UK and Eire, Europe and Africa.
